Bring Tropic-Ana back!

You read it here last October, namely the need for Pepsico's Tropicana orange juice to bring back the mascot Tropic-Ana. We were not sure why she was dropped, especially in the last two decades, when the Hispanic population of the U.S. has boomed.

We assume it was one of those stupid decisions that companies make.

The post is Where's Tropic-Ana? Bring Her Back!

The New York Times mentioned the need to bring back Tropic-Ana today in a Q&A by Stuart Elliott.

Love Some High's Ice Cream

We were thinking that even if it is kind of chilly in some places, we would love to have some High's Ice Cream. High's, the great ice cream chain from the Tidewater, Virginia area.

Keep the Seattle PI Alive?

We hear that if Hearst cannot find a buyer, staffers might step in and run the paper as an online edition. Very interesting.

Would You Like a Drake's Cake?

We would. That's why we try to protect Drake's when it starts to look too much like Hostess. See our post on Drake's Cakes.

Boyce Moto Meter

Here, a Boyce Moto Meter. The Boyce was a hood ornament that kept the temperature of radiators; in a pre-anti-freeze era this ensured the proper working of engines.
