I edit BrandlandUSA where a number of readers have complained about the discontinued brand. I wish I had a better answer for the fans out there for a substitute product.

  1. Should we organize a boycott of Conagra products?

  2. Derby tamales are GREAT, the canned ones (Hormel) taste like a mix of used kitty litter and axle grease

  3. I cannot believe that ConAgra has discontinued the Derby tamales...what are they thinking? I have eaten them all my life, had a taste for them today, went to three stores...none to be found!

I remember Saturday lunches with my family growing up and it was a real treat when we had Derby Tamales!!!! That was 45 years ago and I had been buying them ever since for my family.
    Really do miss them!

I guess I owe Kroger an apology for blasting them for discontinuing the product. Another poster is right...Hormel tamales taste like a$$. Derby was the best!

WHAT WAS THE REASON THAT YOU STOP MAKING DERBY TAMALES SINCE THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE EAT THEM. I HOPE YOU WILL CONSIDER START MAKING THEM AGAIN.

  12. Big companies look at bottom line, They are getting rid of all products that were good. Cheap is not always the best. BRING THEM BACK. We still pay for good products. Double the Price. OK

I want my Derby tamales! Bring them back! Why do companies take away the things we love? It's just rotten.
